Museum Replicas Windlass - Komplette Rüstung von Augusta - 300508 - 205 cm - handgefertigt
15 v. Chr. Gegründet Während der Regierungszeit von Kaiser Augustus kämpfte Augusta mit anderen deutschen Städten um den Titel der ältesten Stadt Deutschlands. Die Altstadt gilt nach Hamburg und Köln als drittgrößte in Deutschland.
Die Reichsstadt Augsburg war bekannt für ihre Rüstungshersteller, zu denen die Familie Helmschmied und der Büchsenmachermeister Lorenz gehörten. Die Helmschmiede von Augsburg waren eine der wichtigsten spätmittelalterlichen europäischen Familien von Rüstungsschmieden. Ihr Name, manchmal auch Helmschmid geschrieben, bedeutet "Schmiedehelm". Die bekanntesten Familienmitglieder waren Lorenz Helmschmied (aktiv 1467, gestorben 1515), Kolman Helmschmied (1471-1532) und Desiderio Helmschmied (1513-1579)
Diese Rüstung wurde nach einem Modell des 16. Jahrhunderts rekonstruiert, das von dieser berühmten Gießerei hergestellt wurde. Obwohl es nicht getragen werden darf, behält es alle ästhetischen Schönheiten und Eigenschaften einer vollständigen Rüstung bei.
Diese Rüstung wurde aus 18-Gauge-Weichstahl handgefertigt und von den Handwerkern von Windlass Steelcrafts gefertigt. Sie verfügt über einen schweren Holzsockel in Museumsqualität, einen dekorativen Taillenrock und eine Holzinnenform.
Der Helm kann bis zu drei dekorative Federn aufnehmen (separat erhältlich).

Windlass - Langschwert aus dem 15. Jahrhundert - historisches Schwert
Um 1450 war das lange Schwert, das oft als "eineinhalb" bezeichnet wurde, im Krieg weit verbreitet, aber es war auch oft eine Selbstverteidigungswaffe für Zivilisten. Verbunden mit einem Dolch war es hervorragend gegen Diebe, Räuber und Attentäter, die oft in Banden organisiert waren, die durch die Landschaft zogen.
Ausgestattet mit einem guten Tip und ausreichender Länge, konnte der Gegner auf Distanz gehalten werden. Sein durchschnittliches Gewicht ermöglichte die einfache Verwendung mit einer Hand in Kombination mit dem Dolch in der anderen. Dank der Länge des Griffs kann er außerdem mit beiden Händen verwendet werden, um eine bessere Kontrolle zu haben und sehr kraftvolle Schnitte auszuführen.
