Il caricatore della GA3 contiene 2 colpi al peperoncino. Ciascuno di essi contiene circa 6 grammi di una miscela di Oleoresin Capsicum molto densa di formulazione Piexon, denominata PIEXOL. Oltre al forte impatto, all'aggressore viene impresso un alone di color rosso che permette l'eventuale riconoscimento in caso di fuga da parte delle forze dell'ordine.
Il gel liquido PIEXOL® penetra nelle mucose e niente lo può fermare, nemmeno occhiali, maschere o tessuti. L'aggressore in pochi istanti è immobilizzato per circa 45-60 minuti con sintomi quali bruciore agli occhi, al naso, alla bocca e alla pelle, chiusura spontanea degli occhi e incapacità di vista temporale con forte lacrimazione, difficoltà respiratorie con tosse, forte bruciore generale.
