Takeshi Saji was born in 1948 in Takefu ( Fukui Prefecture ) , a city located approximately in the center of Japan and in the heart of an area for centuries devoted to the production of blades . His lab is still there, built around the oven thanks to which, for several years now , Takeshi Saji forges the steel (especially damascus) with which he made various models of traditional Japanese knives . The choice of material finishes (mostly natural ) , the essential lines - evocative use - and the color combinations of rare impact his accomplishments make unique and unmistakable in view of the cutlery world and at home , have earned him the prestigious title of Master .

Die Glock Messer wurden in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Ranger der Special Force der österreichischen Armee entwickelt. Um die beste Leistung und Funktionalität zu erreichen, wurden keine Kompromisse bei der Konstruktion, die nach jahrelangem Außendienst getestet wurde, erlaubt. Laguiole, was man als "Hauptstadt" des Aubrac bezeichnen kann, ist eine kleine Stadt mit etwa 900 Einwohnern, die auf der ganzen Welt für das traditionelle Laguiole-Messer bekannt wurde.

Das Laguiole-Messer, auch bekannt als Messerkorkenzieher, wird von den besten Sommeliers der Welt geliebt und soll sich seit dem vierzehnten Jahrhundert entwickelt haben. Es wird gesagt, dass sie es von ihren Eltern anlässlich der Ersten Kommunion erhalten haben, und es mit der Liebe für das Leben als ein Freund und als ein "Amulett" verwendet haben.

Das Laguiole-Messer bezieht sich auf ein älteres Modell namens Capuchadou, das die Aubrac-Züchter seit dem 14. Jahrhundert täglich benutzten. Die Bauern brachten es mit, hängten sie an den Gürtel und benutzten es, um Holz zu bearbeiten oder Brot und Käse zu schneiden. Das aktuelle Messer Laguiole, hat seinen Prototyp in dem von Pierre-Jean Calmels zu Beginn des neunzehnten Jahrhunderts entworfenen. Zu dieser Zeit lebten viele Katalanen in dieser Region, die für Entwaldung oder andere Arbeitsplätze genutzt wurden. Sie benutzten ein Klappmesser, eine gebogene Klinge, die Navaja genannt wurde, und Calmels schuf ein schönes und funktionales Instrument, das das traditionelle Navaja und Laguiole Messer, Erbe des Capuchadou, verschmolz. Noch heute wird jedes Laguiole En Aubrac Messer von Laguiole's Handwerkern handgefertigt.
