Wie all die alten Elfenklingen leuchtet Sting magisch mit einem blauen Licht in der Nähe von Orks in der Nähe; Gollum, der alles hasst, was die Elfen getan haben (wegen der intrinsischen Ladung der Reinheit, die Elben-Objekte von ihren Erschaffern aufnehmen), hat Angst vor Sting.

Zu dieser Zeit gab es tatsächlich zahlreiche Spinnen für die umliegenden Wälder und es war daher bequemer, ein Schwert oder einen Dolch zu haben benutze lieber als ein großes Schwert. Diese Klinge ist für Shellob und alle Spinnen, die im Allgemeinen in der Dunkelheit gewachsen sind, absolut entsetzlich.

Diese detailgetreue Replik ist eine Reproduktion des Schwertes im Maßstab 1: 1 für die Dreharbeiten zur "Herr der Ringe" -Trilogie.
